The holidays are coming up and decorating is here. Instead of buying fancy ornaments or decorations you can save money and do some recycled DIY decor. Most want a white Christmas, but this year why don't you do a green Christmas? Here are some fun recycled crafts you can do this holiday season:
RECYCLED NEWSPAPER SNOWFLAKES
Fold your old newspapers and start cutting out snowflakes in creative designs and then paint over them to add some color.
MASON JAR LID WREATHS
Take off the lid of your mason jars and wrap them in string and ribbon to create a festtive ornament or other addition to your decor.
MILK JUG SNOWMEN
Put tea lights or battery operated Christmas lights inside the milk jugs. You can use old paper to put the eyes, mouth, and nose on or you can cut out the eyes to have the light shine through. Lastly, use pom pom balls and pipe cleaner to makes the ear muffs!
TOILET ROLL OWL ORNAMENTS
Take cardboard toilet rolls and paint them to look like owls! Fold in the top to make it look like owl ears.
RECYCLED K-CUP ORNAMENTS
This one you can make them into virtually anything you want! Featured here is a little Santa ornament, but it doesn't have to be. Use your imagination and your own holiday traditions to create your own K-Cup ornament.
ALUMINUM CAN ORNAMENT
Take any aluminum can (like the Coca-Cola one featured here) and cut it in slices until you reach the middle, so you can fold them upwards into a round shape. Then glue something on top to hold it together. Be careful with this one though: cutting aluminum might hurt you, you don't want to get hurt!
